About
I’m Ben Riley, a Lead Technical Artist based in Florida. For nearly five years I’ve been at Evil Eye Pictures, making Unreal Engine 5 cinematics for Epic Games: Fortnite season trailers, cinematic shorts, live events and UEFN experiences. I’ve led the tech art team there since 2023.
Before that I was an Unreal TD at The Third Floor, working on previs for Shazam! Fury of the Gods, Masters of the Universe and Universal’s Harry Potter and the Battle at the Ministry, and on the animated short Skytribe. I started out in VR and AR at UNC’s Reese Innovation Lab. On the side I run Stingray Studios, which released the UE5 horror game Blanket Fort on Steam in 2025.
I’ve built or led the team that built 29 Unreal editor tools, and trained about 20 artists across five departments in Unreal and Blueprint, including how to build their own tools.
